What are guides?
Guides are curated lists of places and events created by community members. Think of them as "Best of" lists — for example, "Top 10 Halal Burgers in NYC" or "Ramadan Iftars in Chicago."
Creating a guide
Tap the + button on the home screen and select "New Guide." Give it a title (up to 100 characters), an optional description (up to 500 characters), and a cover image. Then add places or events to your guide, each with an optional note (up to 300 characters) explaining why you included it.
Publishing
Guides can be saved as drafts or published. Published guides are visible to everyone and appear on your profile. You can unpublish a guide at any time.
Featured guides
Our team features standout guides on the homepage. Featured status is based on quality, relevance, and community engagement — it cannot be purchased.
Impact on listings
When you add a place or event to your guide, it contributes to that listing's Souq Score. This helps surface quality listings that the community endorses.
